Katrina Anniversary - New Orleans
Phil and Debbie participated with over 800 New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary students in city ministry on the anniversary of Katrina. Debbie assisted this team with gutting a home in the Gentilly neighborhood.
Let's Have a Circus Party!
Phil and Debbie enjoy coordinating theme related evangelistic parties for neighborhood children. They held a Circus Party at Pine Summit Baptist Church this summer. Phil dressed up as Rollo the Clown. The Smiths are available to coordinate a party for your church.
The Children Enjoyed Games!
A variety of game stations were set up; plus fun relays and prizes.
Face Painting was a Big Hit!
A favorite activity was face painting and body art. Pictured right is Tristin the clown!
Day Care Ministry
Each week WCK provide weekly Bible clubs for day care children. Children enjoy songs, games, Bible verses, and Bible stories. The Smiths are available for day care ministry in the New Orleans area. They are also available to train volunteers. Debbie says, "If you need a hug...volunteer for day care ministry!"
The Antioch House
After Katrina, Pine Summit Baptist of Pensacola, FL loaned the Smiths their Antioch home. Amazingly, the home was right down the street from their children! God is incredible! The Smiths lived in the Antioch home until the seminary campus was restored in August of 2006. Here is a picture of the Smiths with their children and grandchildren.
