Homeschool Ministry
WCK will sponsor two events for C.H.E.S.S. homeschool group on New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary campus.
First, each Monday WCK volunteers will teach two elementary Bible classes.
Early elementary 2:00-2:45; and older elementary 3:00-3:45. Classes will be held at Joy Tolbert's home on Seminary Place.
Preschoolers will meet each Friday from 2:oo-2:30 p.m. at the NOBTS recreation center.
A teacher training seminar is offered to homeschool teens.
Gentilly Baptist
Children's Church
We are averaging 25 children each week now at Gentilly Baptist Church. Gentilly is a neighborhood devastated by Hurrican Katrina. We are excited to see weekly growth. Kim Craig leads the children's program and Phil and Debbie assist with teaching. Volunteer teams continue to come weekly and stay at Gentilly Baptist while reaching out to the people in the community. We are so grateful for the many volunteers who have asssisted Gentilly Baptist Church after the storm. What a blessing!
